Description of 50 US States - American Quiz

Do you know where Vermont is located? What city is the capital of Wisconsin? In this game, you will find all 50 states of the United States of America! All 50 state capital cities! All state flags and outline maps! From New England and the Great Lakes to the California coast and the Alaska wilderness!

* Northeast (Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Jersey, etc.).

* Midwest (Ohio, Illinois, South Dakota, etc.).

* South (Alabama, Texas, North Carolina, etc.).

* West (Nevada, Oregon, Washington, and others).

Questions are divided into six groups:

1) Guess the name or the postal abbreviation of the state highlighted on the US map (for example, LA is for Louisiana; OK is for Oklahoma).

2) Spell the names of state capitals (e.g. Salt Lake City is the capital of Utah; Lincoln is the capital of Nebraska).

3) Recognize the state by its geographical borders.

4) Game about state flags.

5) Dates of admission to the Union: from the First State––Delaware (December 7, 1787)––to the 50th state Hawaii that joined on August 21, 1959.

6) State nicknames: famous like ‘Sunshine State’ for Florida or ‘The Grand Canyon State’ for Arizona; and less-known such as ‘Land of Enchantment’ for New Mexico or ‘Mountain State’ for West Virginia.

In each group, you can choose several game modes:

* Spelling quizzes (easy and hard).

* Multiple-choice questions (with 4 or 6 answer options). It’s important to remember that you have only 3 lives.

* Time game (give as many answers as you can in 1 minute) - give more than 25 correct answers to win a star.

Two learning tools:

* Flashcards - browse information about each state without guessing.

* Table of all U.S. states.

Additional levels can be downloaded (Android 5.0 and higher):

- US Cities (the pictures of 50 most famous American cities: from Philadelphia to San Diego, from Miami to Seattle).

- State Capitol Buildings (52 photos, including Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico).

- National Parks: photos of all 63 parks from Grand Canyon and Shenandoah to Yosemite and Yellowstone. Demonstrate your knowledge of the American wilderness and prepare for the new adventures!

The app is translated into Spanish and 14 other languages; besides American English, of course.

Advertisements can be removed by an in-app-purchase.

It is a great educational game for everyone interested in the geography of the United States of America. Guess the state where you’ve been to and learn about states you will visit in the future. Find the capital and the flag of each state!

Great app! My four year old loves the US map and knows the states. He loves this app. However he gets frustrated with the need to spell out answers. He likes the quiz except it jumps to capitals and flags which he knows nothing about. I wish it had an option to choose multiple choice states and JUST states. Or just flags. Or just capitals. Otherwise it runs well, nicely designed.

A GREAT learning/teaching tool!!! I love this app however an option in the \"US Challenge\" and \"Time Game\", to select what is being tested would be a welcome option. (ie. Check boxes to turn on/off capitals, flags, map etc.) It would allow users to focus on strengthening specific areas without being overwhelmed by one or two areas of weakness.

This app is brilliant. I learned all of the states and where they were in less than 2 days, I learned the flags in about the same time, and I know the postal abbreviations. It gives you everything you need. I\'ve just gone over the state nicknames and got all of them with only one mistake after the first attempt. This app has a way of making things stick. It\'s modest too, not too many adverts, and you can rate it if you Want to, it doesn\'t badger on about it. It\'s all you could ask for in an app.

Excellent. Precise. Entertaining. Easy to understand. Flashcards are somewhat nonsensical. Wish the FLAGS were a bit larger, or could be enlarged. Every parent should download this app onto their child\'s device. Grade: A+

This is an exceptional game for young people who want to find out the best way to remember the names of capitals of states because they can just play the game over and over again until they get it memorized. I think the way to remember which state is which is to continually play this game also.

Intense They make you go through all 50 states without breaks. Spelling & the no. of letter spaces can give away the state name; the game automatically corrects a wrong state entry. I would prefer to be tested on just a few states at a time and choosing the state name vs manually entering in each letter. Also, they tediously make you spell out the whole state name before you can move onto the next state. You have to answer a certain number of questions correctly before unlocking other quizzes, s.a. state flag quiz

I have finally learned all the countries This is a GREAT app because it is small, free, easy and fun, and VERY educational. The only countries that I could ever find on a map were the United States, Canada, and Mexico, but now I can identify EVERY country in the world. I am very proud of myself.

As a 32 year old American, I think it\'s important that I have a good working knowledge of my country. This app has been helpful to fill-in the gaps with regards to my state familiarity! For the record, I wanted to strengthen my comprehension for my own satisfaction as I am not a student nor have been for a decade. Most learning programs simply point to an unlabeled state on a full map; but this has taught me to pay special attention to the shape of each individual state so I don\'t have to rely on context clues but rather learn to identify the state on its own. At first I wasn\'t sure how I felt about that, but now I appreciate it!
