Description of ArtRage: Draw, Paint, Create

ArtRage for Android is a realistic painting and drawing app that gives you a toolkit filled with tools that work just like the real thing. Smear and blend thick oils on the screen, sketch with pencils and smudge the strokes to create gradients, work like you would on canvas or paper.

Each tool includes settings that mirror real world properties such as Paint Thinners, Pencil Softness, and other familiar properties. The app includes a range of default presets for every tool, and you can easily create your own specialized custom presets. It also supports pressure data from the Samsung S-Pen to add an element of natural expressiveness to your paint strokes.

Along with the full range of familiar tools like the oil brush, inking pen and pencil tools, ArtRage includes important digital features like Layers with Blend Modes, a Fill Tool, the ability to add Reference and Tracing images while you draw, and more.

ArtRage for Android comes with an intuitive interface that keeps all the important settings readily available but gets out of your way as you work so that you creative flow isn't interrupted.

ArtRage Paintings are fully compatible with desktop versions of ArtRage, and can also be exported as PNG and JPG images. You can import photos as paint layers, reference images or tracing images. Record your paintings as Script files for playback at larger resolutions in our desktop software

Oil Brush, Watercolor, Airbrush, Palette Knife, Paint Roller, Paint Tube, Ink Pen, Pencil, Felt Pen, Wax/Chalk Pastel, Eraser, Flood Fill, Glitter Tube, Gloop Pen.

Each tool has a range of settings that reflect familiar properties such as paint thinners or pencil tip softness. Tools apply texture as well as color, and blend under the brush.

Add unlimited Layers to your painting, adjust visibility and opacity, rearrange and merge. ArtRage also supports a full range of Photoshop Layer Blend Modes.

Designed for compact operation at different resolutions and screen orientations. The interface has been designed to maximize your creative space without hiding away critical functions such as tool and color selection. As you paint, it gets out of the way so that you don’t have to stop and manually adjust panels. With support for Multi-Touch gestures for canvas manipulation, Undo/Redo, and Brush Size, important shortcuts are available without needing menus. Also supports Stylus-only mode to avoid accidental finger painting.

Best drawing/painting app Believe it or not this app changed my life since I\'m a quadriplegic and I operate my note 7 using the stylus with my mouth. This app has got out the best of my drawing abilities and I mean I can draw some pretty amazing things, wish you could see. It does lack some of the other tools from other free apps have and you can\'t move pinned references, annoying! Please fix. I\'m hoping to see new features and tools. other than that this app is a major go! Because this is as close it gets to the real deal.

Possible Addition? Something that would be crazy awesome is adding a neon aspect the color, like the metallic. That\'d be awesome. Love it anyway. Definitely worth it. 7 bucks for what in real life is impossible: a freaking undo button!! And no clean-up, and no paint bleeding through the paper! It\'s mobile! IMO, its worth like 20 bucks. Such a steal at 7!

This app has been working fine (since April \'17) on my Chromebook Plus (has an ARM processor) till today when I installed the latest update to my Chromebook which said that now Android apps would be able to run on Chromebooks. Well most of my apps still run on my Chromebook Plus, just not ArtRage. When I start the app it opens up in a very tiny window and I can\'t get it to go to full screen. If there is a menu item or button to go to full screen I am unable to access it because of the tiny window. It was really fun to paint on till this system update.

Limited in tools. I think this app would greatly improve the overall quality and user experience if the selection for tools was broadened. Adding a variety to the brushes, for example. Fan brush, fine liner to name a couple. Add a fine line marker to set lines better and sharper. Also allow the option to \"dip\" the brush to add more paint so we can thin out and blend colors better. Great potential here for sure.

As good as this app is for making traditional looking art, i was half way working on something then wanted to save it for later. After i came back to it the file got messed up when i tried to load it back onto the program since the screen had a blank canvas. I lost all my work i invested my time into. I know this is still in beta, but fixing the file saving for rendered artwork would help. Other then that the tools, layers, etc. work good.

I really want to like this app but there are just too many basic features missing in comparison to other similar apps. No perspective tools, no gradient fill, brush sizes especially on a tablet are too limited. Can\'t help wondering if the developers have just abandoned the android version. A shame because the desktop app is really good. A real shame the android version doesn\'t have similar functionality.

Literally the only app I feel comfortable with on my android tablet. Very intuitive, interesting brushes and functions, the metallic feature on colors is really cool even if I don\'t see myself using it very much! When you turn off the touch and use stylus mode only you can still zoom in with your fingers which I think its really cool. All in all I hope it gains traction and get used by more users because its worth it.

I have used Artrage for 6 months now and have to say, as a beginner this is a truly Great App for Android. I\'m sure it\'s the same for Windows and other OS\'s. I find it in depth and really easy to use as well as sofisticated and in depth. Are there more apps out there that is more useful for novice or better? Probably so! But for this guy this app fits the bill for me and I think it will for many others wanting to paint draw sketch or just create for themselves. Its good and will fit the ticket.

Very basic, not worth it. This app is rather basic and contains very few brush options, it doesn\'t support pressure sensitivity whatsoever. I tried to use it in conjunction with my digital tablet but it was not picking up any pressure. Honestly it shouldn\'t be a paid app, the price is not justified whatsoever.

Used to be my favorite go to app I even recomended it to others.... Lately it keeps messing up and deleting my work or messing up all together even if l saved... I paid for the full version too.. They also dont have many brush options and they dont offer more package puechases if you were interested in dumping more money into the app. As of 2019 I would no longer recommend this app to anyone unless they fix it.
