Description of Couch to 5k & 10k

Today is a good day to start running and get fit. In just 9 weeks you will be able to run 5 km with Couch to 5k & 10k. Amazing, isn’t it?

Couch to 5k & 10k is based on the prestigious fitness program C25K (couch to 5k) especially designed so that anyone can achieve their goal although he has not run in years (if ever!). The app will guide you step by step giving instructions when you have to run and walk. There are 3 workouts per week, each one about 30 minutes. The program will slowly become more challenging. Your body's endurance will gradually increase over time with the interval training method. You need more? Do not worry…

If you've completed your 5k training, congratulations! Couch to 5k & 10k also includes a complete 10k training based on the same principle run/walk so it will be just as easy to move from 5k to 10k. There's no excuse, up from the couch!

I like that I can run without thinking about the distance I\'ve traveled. I feel more free to try out different trails and places. I think the only thing I would want this app improved is a notification when I\'m halfway through a run interval. The app will tell you when you\'re halfway through the entire workout, which is helpful, but it would also be nice to know when you are halfway to the next walk, especially when starting out. It\'s a minor thing though. I am currently working through the 10k training so it obviously hasn\'t bothered me that much. Great app!

A good app. I started off well, but I\'m stuck on week 6. I\'m finding it hard to go from 2x10min with walking inbetween to non-stop 20 minutes, so repeating week 6 until I can. i\'ve used both indoor and outdoor modes. with indoor, it would be great if it could calculate some of the stats for you based on the ones you enter off the treadmill. i think outdoor overestimated distance slightly.

Love this app! Used it for my first run and already purchased the ad free option. I love the backup feature and how detailed each run is. Even got my wife into using it. For those having issues where it is only recording a partial or jumping around, it is because battery saving mode is on. Happened with my wife\'s S8. When she turned it off the issue went away.

Works great for what I need.i don\'t look at my phone whenbi run but I think a pre warning of wen you have to start running would be helpful. Like 3 secs before you starts 3 beeps should be heard.

I love the training plans. It\'s nice to turn it on and then not have to think about when to start and stop running. I also like the way they increase the running intervals as you go. My biggest issue with this app is that it does not accurately track my distance where I like to run. I haven\'t tried it in other locations, but it does not track on the trail that I run. Sometimes when I leave the trail and run on the street it tracks it. I use another app to track my distance. I won\'t really have a use for this app once I\'m finished trying to increase my distance.

Only recorded my first 0.85 km from a 7km run. So pissed off. Told me I was at tutle pace as thought I ran 800m in 50 minutes. Not reliable. Tried again and only recorded part of run. Also took ages to start as said was trying to connect to GPS which my phone always is. I suspect the app has a GPS issue as Google Maps records my run perfectly.

Love this app. The only reason I\'m not giving it 5* is because I believe on the longer runs (more than 5 mins) a countdown woukd be very useful. \"Run for 22 mins. You have 10 mins of running left. You have 5 mins of running left. Run ending in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Cool down walk for 5 mins.\" As an example. Also, the use of the tortoise and the hare. I believe the measurement of speed is unfair. surely completing the 5km is better and speed will come with practise.

It works. Run when it says run, walk when it says walk. After that, how much you push yourself is up to you. You will improve either way. Two things I would like to see: 1) A maintenance phase after the 5 and 10k phases. So you can vary runs at a similar level 2) (This may already be a feature) The ability to run it from a smart watch

I chose this app for a couch to 5k workout and I\'ve regretted it since week 2 (now at week 5) this week the runs have gone from 3 5 min runs, to 2 8 min runs, to 1 20 min run. that was 3 back to back workouts this app felt I would be able to do... I dont know about you but I cant go from running for 8 minutes straight to running for 20. the data isnt well laid out, you have no way to see if you\'re improving or not unless you click on each individual workout. I thankfully haven\'t had it crash.

I love this app... clean interface, allows music in background, gives good clear voice coaching, allows growth in ability, good performance stats, etc. It is also mostly intuitive, (I would loved to have seen a user manual, to fill in the items that do need clarification, but the support email is really good! ). Highly recommended!!!
