Description of Cultist Simulator

BE WARNED. This game has no tutorial - part of the challenge is figuring out how to play. It's hard, but keep trying, and you'll master it. Good luck!

SEIZE FORBIDDEN TREASURES. SUMMON ALIEN GODS. FEED ON YOUR DISCIPLES.

In this infamous roguelike narrative card game, play as a seeker after unholy mysteries in a 1920s-themed setting of hidden gods and secret histories. Become a scholar of the unseen arts. Craft tools and summon spirits. Indoctrinate innocents. Seize your place as the herald of a new age.

This award-winning game was first released on PC. Now we’re bringing the cosmic mysteries of Cultist Simulator to mobile.

• Challenging roguelike gameplay - There is never only one history.

Cultist Simulator doesn’t hold your hand. Experiment, expire and transcend death with a story-driven legacy system. Over time you’ll learn enough to wrestle the game to its knees.

• Intense, immersive narrative – Combine cards to tell your own story.

A hefty novel’s worth of choice-based storytelling. There are many paths through this game of ambition, appetite and abomination, and many ways your tale can end.

• A rich Lovecraftian world – Corrupt your friends and consume your enemies.

Search your dreams for sanity-twisting rituals. Translate grimoires and glean their lore. Penetrate the realm of the Hours and win a place in their service. Cultist Simulator brings the peripheral horror of Lovecraft’s tales to an entirely new setting.

Expand your knowledge with the DLCs: New Legacies, New Ascensions, New Mechanics...

• The Dancer - Join the Bacchanal

• The Priest - Knock, and Ye Shall Be Opened

• The Ghoul - Taste of the graveyard's fruit

• The Exile - Some there are who will not yield

edit: It wasn\'t in a verb. It wasnt shown as in use., t was completely gone until it showed back up at random. The lag also made the game almost unplayable once my board was full. Add not being able to save without quitting, and autosave lagging so much, and I spend a good minute out of five waiting for the game to respond again. My point about the tutorial being hard to find still stands, since you did include one. Your response to my reporting a bug makes me consider a refund at this point

Got the game on a friends reccomendation and started playing. Got so into it that I didnt notice the next hour go by. Really fun and unique, with amazing writing The one thing I would like to see is an option to autopause when stuff finishes. I know the timing is part of the atmosphere, but I really would like to be able to read all the text without spamming pause manually.

If you have played the PC version you will find this port is beautiful and crisp and easy to play. If you haven\'t played this before, you will find a story generator disguised as a card game where dying is as easy as it is entertaining, every book you read is a step down on a dark staircase, and every dream - or nightmare - you have can take you to uncharted territory. Also you can yeet your boss which is something we should all do more often. The further I PLAY, the more I ENJOY.

The game seems interesting, but there\'s absolutely no tutorial that I could find. I have no idea what the hell I\'m doing, aside from dropping cards where the game lets me with 0 understanding on what does what....

Got this game as part of a Humble Bundle and immediately bought it on mobile to play on the go. Its a complex and in depth narrative card game (if thats even a thing). The only reason i haven\'t given it five stars is because I would like a feature that isnt there. To enable better casual play, it would be great if there was an option allowing the game to automatically pause when a \"verb\" finished its run. That way i can play while also doing something else, without missing anything.

This game blows! You can barely see the cards. There are no instructions whatsoever, a timer for no real reason, and when you figure it out, there are just too many attributes that need paired up to ever advance the play even if you knew what the objective was. Which you don\'t because there is none that I could discern. Poorly designed and poorly ported to the phone. Might be better on the tablet but F-em I\'m not wasting my time or my eyesight anymore. I want my money back!

I have this game on PC, and I too was wondering how they\'d fit it all on a movile screen. Well, like others have said, these mad geniuses have sone it. The buttons are all there and in the right place. I love this game fir its unique method of storytelling. If you\'re not familiar with these devs, don\'t expect a tutorial. The point is to enjoy the journey and maje your own discoveries. That\'s why it\'s a cultust simulator. ;)

It\'s a very unique game with quite a number of \"moving parts.\" At first you\'ll have absolutely no idea as to what you\'re doing. But, reading up a bit on how things work (on the internet) will go a long way to helping you figure out the game. It\'s worth playing for the quirkiness factor alone, but there are some decent challenges within the game itself. However, the most important player ability here is memory. As remembering how all the pieces work is what will get you through.

An incredibly deep gameplay experience for a mobile app. Obviously not cheap but worth every penny if you\'re looking for something beyond casual gaming while on the go. Richly written and evocative lore provides a compelling story while the mechanics of the game encourage experimentation and learning through (initially frequent!) failure. There are multiple ways to beat the game including a \"new game plus\" option which requires you to win again under increasingly difficult conditions! Fantastic.

Unfortunately, the mobile version is older than the desktop version, plus it seems to be lacking all the expansions. Edit - I have added a star because the developer reacted. If they fulfil their promise and update the game and add the expansions, I will change the rating to 5 stars, because I love the game. July 2020 - half of the year is gone, the latest DLC Exile is still nowhere to be seen. Adding 1 star for the 3 DLC. Nov 2020 - mobile version finally caught up, adding stars as promised.
