Firefox is also the only major browser backed by a non-profit fighting to give you more openness, transparency and control of your life online. Join hundreds of millions of people who choose to protect what's important by choosing Firefox.

TL;DR

- Feel more in control of your internet experience. The new home screen lets you pick up right where you left off every time

- Even more industry-leading privacy and security from the most trusted name in tech

PERSONALIZED HOME SCREEN

Pick up right where you left off. Now you can see all your open tabs intuitively grouped and displayed along with your recent searches, bookmarks and favorite sites. You’ll also see popular articles recommended by Pocket, updated daily.

MOVE THE SEARCH BAR WHERE YOU WANT IT

Firefox lets you choose the default placement of the search bar, either at the top or the bottom of your screen. Sometimes it’s easier to search for things if you put the search bar at the bottom — especially if you’re using one hand.

FAST. PRIVATE. SAFE.

Keep what’s personal private without sacrificing speed. With Firefox, you can have more control to decide what to share online and when, because your life is your business. We designed Firefox with smart browsing features that let you take your privacy, password and bookmarks with you safely wherever you go.

MAKE FIREFOX YOUR OWN

Make Firefox your go-to, get-it-done, default browser. And with Firefox widgets, you can jump right to searching the web or using private-browsing mode straight from your phone’s home screen. And Firefox makes password management easy by remembering your passwords across devices.

PRIVACY CONTROL IN ALL THE RIGHT PLACES

Firefox gives you greater privacy protection while you’re on the web. By default, Firefox blocks trackers and scripts such as social media trackers, cross-site cookie trackers, cryptominers and fingerprinters. You can also easily choose to search in private browsing mode. And when you close private browsing mode, your browsing history and any cookies are automatically erased from your device.

FIND IT FAST WITH FIREFOX’S SEARCH BAR

Get search suggestions in the search bar and quickly access the sites you visit most. Type in your search question and get suggested and previously searched results across your favorite search engines.

COLLECTIONS

Open as many tabs as you like and organize them into Collections to stay on task. Collections can also be shared across devices so you get more done no matter where you are or what device you’re using.

GET ADD-ONS

Full support for the most popular add-ons, including ways to turbo-charge powerful default privacy settings and customize your experience.

SHARE ANYTHING IN A FEW TAPS

The Firefox web browser makes it easy to share links to web pages or specific items on a page with easy, quick access to your most recently used apps.

I just accidentally added a website to top sites because it\'s been months and I\'m still not used to this terrible design change after all these years. Shame on you Firefox. *Old version better by far. Not even close. I just noticed how stupid the top sites/history section is. Many duplicates, some won\'t even delete and no easy way to organize, if at all. Just don\'t know what they were thinking. And you took away printing and save to pdf? So many really just awful changes guys I hate to say it.

If I could give 0 stars! I kept hoping you\'ll fix the issues everyone has been screaming about, but this last update has made things even worse. None of the rendering issues have been fixed, and I still don\'t have home page access to bookmarks. uBlock was the one thing keeping me with Firefox, and this update appears to have broken it, so. (BTW it\'s not helpful to tell me to look for answers in the support forum. You need to listen to your users and ensure your product is functional.)

Trying this again after 5 months. Hasn\'t improved any. As I use Firefox on desktop all the time it would be nice to be able to sync with Android but the UI of this app makes it almost unusable. No back and forward buttons, at least a million taps just to locate a bookmark, precious few settings options.... . Maybe you should just scrap it and start again. The ultimate killer though is the failure of add-ons to install - even Bitwarden. I\'ll try again next year.

The address bar and navigation at the bottom makes sense for phones and is good. Sadly Firefox has a terrible tendancy to fail to open the keyboard when tapping on text boxes. Also, there is a very severely limited selection of add-ons which has been the case for quite a long time. Stored passwords are not secure or obscured unless using a master password (and yes it is a master password, you politically correct snowflakes).

Good privacy and security features, but lack of user-friendliness and a poor user interface can frustrate the user : apps are supposed to be quick and intuitive for the user, but Firefox for Android, while reliable and polished, makes things much harder for the user than other Android browsers. It is also slow. So Firefox for Android is very badly in need of recoding and of redesigning the user interface. Better to go to Opera for Android!

From five stars to maybe two! Used to absolutely love this browser, but something bad has happened to it! Recently it can\'t connect to anything without waiting for a while, it\'s almost like what back when I had dial up. My internet speed is excellent, so it is Firefox. I absolutely hate Google and the way it owns everything and tracks everything, but at least I can get to where I\'m going without waiting and waiting. Please undo whatever the heck you did.

2021-01-09 Ver84.1.4. This is getting progressively worse. Now you cannot print web pages. WHY REMOVE THIS FUNCTIONALITY? IT WAS THERE BEFORE I updated!. There is no way to revert to version 81.1!!!. This in addition with other issues not resolved by this release. Now the tabs are displayed with the most recent at the bottom so you have to scroll to the bottom to get it. No method of sorting tabs so active tab is at the top. Password access is also an issue.

It used to be the best browser. Now it is the worst. Since the UI redesign it crashes 10 times a day, at least. The pages load slowly. The pages often get stuck and never load. Often new tabs don\'t load. Unresponsive gray screen frequently appears. When the search widget is used, the browser opens but search and window button don\'t work. In all these cases browser has to be closed for it to work again. I haven\'t updated to the latest version as warned by many. What a colossal disaster.

The best I can say is DO NOT INSTALL this version (84.1.4). If, like me, you are a long time user of Firefox, you will hate yourself for doing the upgrade and there is no going back. In no way does it resemble the beautiful product of past years. No longer can you specify your own home page. No home button. Many bad changes. And BEWARE if you do remove Firefox, Mozilla will also remove all your home screen shorcuts.

ARE YOU EVER GONNA FIX THE SCROLLING ISSUE. Look, I use this browser to read articles and multi-chapter fics, I am BEYOND annoyed that I keep having to look for my place again and again because since the disasterous August update the browser keeps resetting my place on the page everytime I leave the app & come back (leaving it open in the background). I read while commuting and it can take a few trips to read a 200,000 word fic so... Also would be nice to be able to set a homepage again...
