GI means Glycemic Index. It is a number associated with a particular type of food to indicate the food's effect on a person's blood glucose (blood sugar) level. The number typically ranges between 50 and 100, where 100 represents pure glucose, an equivalent amount of pure glucose.

The Glycemic Load (GL) of food is a number that estimates how much the food will raise a person's blood glucose level after eating it. It can be used to apply the Glycemic Index to dieting by connecting the GI number with carbohydrates content in a given serving. It gives an estimation on how much a serving size of food is likely to increase blood-sugar levels.

Net carbs are total carbs minus fiber which is indigestible thus it is considered not to raise blood sugar levels.

BMI is used to assess health risks and body structure but does not take in consideration muscular mass so it can sometimes be inaccurate, for instance in the case of athletes or pregnant women.

Diabetes mellitus (DM), commonly known as diabetes, is a group of metabolic disorders characterized by high blood sugar levels over a prolonged period.

Hyperglycemia (also spelled hyperglycaemia or hyperglycæmia), is a condition in which an excessive amount of glucose circulates in the blood plasma.

Observational studies demonstrate that people who maintain arterial pressures at the low end of these pressure ranges have much better long-term cardiovascular health.

Downloaded app and it said software costs money to develop, please consider a contribution of $2.75, which i did (not to smart). then i open app and all i get is glycemic index table which you could get on the internet. you have to pay additional $ to get the important features. Seems like a scam to me. Dont be a sucker!

Was interested in this app, but than I noticed the developer was leaving negative and fairly rude comments on pretty much all of the 1 Star reviews and was completely turned off of the product. That is not an appropriate or professional way to conduct business, especially not for a product that is fairly well received and not suffering from too many negative reviews. I\'ll find something else on that principle.

Love this app. It helps me getting the glucose to A1C number quickly and easily. The GI/GL list is also nice. The ads are not intrusive. I would be more than happy to pay for a no ads version.

app is so plastered with ads and a constantly annoying, drop down reminder to remove ads that the free version is useless. the free version only gives you the GI, which is readily available online.

Needs a better food list... food list is way too generic. Doesn\'t have things like applesauce, spaghetti sauce, fast food, etc. Needs better option for serving sizes too. Overall an Ok app. My endocrinologist and Obgyn like that I can download all my data and associated details of my glucose monitoring since I can\'t do it from my testing device. I also wish it\'d stop asking me to rate the app all the time... You\'d think once was enough.

The frustrating part of the way this app is presented is the lack of transparency when it comes to cost. Yes, there is mention of \"a small fee,\" but that fee is so obfuscated as to be bordering on deceptive. I can\'t figure out how to find out what the monthly fee is. I didn\'t know there was one until i looked at the reviews. You should be compensated for your work, but if you have to hide that information maybe you\'re charging too much? If you want to get paid, tell people what to pay you.

Amazing \"Must-Have\" App This is an absolutely\"must have\" for anyone serious about weight loss and weight maintenance. Whether your on a low glycemic, Paleo, ancestral, primal, or low carb diet....this app is a key instrument in your tool box. I particularly like the new format, the glycemic load info and adjustable ranges. I routinely recommend this app for my diabetic and overweight patients. This app was instrumental in me losing over 80 pounds in 2015....and in keeping the vast majority of the weight off!

I imagine creating an app like this is very time consuming, so I greatly respect and appreciate the amount of effort that went into it. I think in time, it can only get better. Once I figure out how to use it, I found it totally acceptable for what I need. I feel like this app will help me to learn how to make better choices to reduce my pre-diabetic symptoms. Thank you!

Uninstalled. Net carbs table and all what you see here are only in their premium. Ads for their products or others pop every single time you touch the sreen.
