This app did have some bugs and glitches before, but it seems to be working well now. I stuck with it even with the glitches because I really like the meditations. Here are some of the best features that make this one of my favorite meditation apps: - ALL content is free, with no ads! - Research-based, includes interviews with experts in academia - Choice of sitting or active mode. Active mode is great for when you are driving or doing chores - See your progress over time with their quiz

I\'ve tried the top 5 meditation apps over the course of 3 years. The healthy minds app is by far my favorite. It gives a much clearer path of what techniques I\'m using. And it\'s very flexible as I can define which meditation length I want. Can\'t believe it is free.

A really excellent set of tools within a framework that is evidence based, effective, and packaged in a intuitive and simple way. The clarity of the teaching helps one more effectively apply the lessons in everyday life. The teachers are wonderful. I think by focussing on awareness, connection/compassion, insight and purpose the app provides a really useful breadth of training. The app also has a lot of clever variations on these themes that helps keep the experience fresh and interesting

Definitely keeps my attention. Am learning as I practise and ideas are expressed very clearly by speakers. The option for shorter sessions takes the pressure off and makes it easy to build a routine.

I absolutely love the content of this app, I was listening to it daily for weeks, however now it just seems to crash every time I start to listen to a section. If this was fixed I would upgrade this to a 5 star review because it is absolutely amazing content. **Edit** I have now had a quick and simple response from the team who managed to fix my problem easily. So as promised, this is now a 5 star review, it really is an amazing app.

Awesome content, but you have to pay 😡. Of all the mindfulness/ meditation apps I have used, this is (was, I thought) the best! As a primary care doc (in a very poor county) with lots of patients struggling with mental well being, I\'ve been recommending this app lately, telling people that it\'s FINALLY an app with good, and FREE content! Well then as I got past~ day 30, I see now that it\'s no longer free. Coming from the UW, I\'m disappointed I can\'t recommend this app in the same way anymore.

I have been practicing with this app for 6 weeks, and I have found it helpful for establishing equanimity in times of turmoil. The lessons are brief nuggets of clear explanation of how the mind works, and how our minds can serve us better. The practices are nicely guided with a wide range of time choices and the choice of male or female voice. They introduce practices to continue throughout the day. I think many people could benefit from what might be called yoga for the mind.

The app has really clear, science-based meditation instruction and insights. For each meditation, you can pick if it\'s going to be sitting or active, and you can also pick a male or female voice. You can also pick how long to spend, between 5 and 30 minutes, in 5 minute increments. I really like the flexibility, and the different techniques and areas of focus they teach.
