Description of Meteorfall: Journeys

Meteorfall is a deck-building roguelike. You'll choose your class from one of four unique adventurers, and then set out with a deck consisting of some basic attack cards. During the course of your adventure, you'll be presented with the opportunity to add powerful new cards to your deck.

No adventure would be complete without slaying a few monsters that get in your way. In battle, you'll draw cards from your ability deck. Each time you draw a card, you'll be able to swipe right to play the card, or swipe left to skip a turn and regain some stamina.

Between battles, you'll venture through a variety of locations, represented by an encounter deck. You'll encounter blacksmiths that can upgrade your cards, temples that can help you optimize your deck, and mysterious characters that will make you all sorts of bargains.

The tactical strategy of combat micro-decisions mixed with the strategic element of deck-building provides a compelling and deep gameplay experience.

As with all roguelikes, death is permanent. You'll earn some gems that you can use to unlock new cards, but it's back to the drawing board after that. Start out with a new adventurer and set out on your quest once again.

The good news is that Meteorfall is different every time you play - you'll encounter different locations, different enemies, and different quests. Part of the challenge is adapting to the challenging situations the game puts you in, given the cards available.

Good luck hero - it's time to end the Uberlich's cycle of destruction!

This game is extremely short, and not worth the price. As the other reviewers have said, I have no idea how it\'s rated so highly, it\'s not good. The game is binary, and you can\'t choose your path. \"Events\" are less than 10 different ones, so you\'ll experience almost all of them in a single run. Runs are dictated by 100% rng, sometimes a regular monster can 1 hit you at full hp. None of the hero types are fun, either too strong or dies instantly. It took a day to beat, so I can\'t refund anymore.

The game has been out for almost 3 years and there is very little content here. Replayability ends when you\'ve tried and/or beat the game with each character which takes a few hours. After unlocking a few secondary characters, the realization that they don\'t play any differently, they just start with a different set of cards that you\'ve already seen, was a bummer. It\'s also wildly imbalanced depending on hero and RNG. It\'s being disguised as \'difficulty\' but it\'s really just imbalanced

I bought this because Slay the Spire still isn\'t on Android yet and so far this one has been fairly satisfying. The cards are not as interesting as StS\'s and there aren\'t as many interesting synergies as StS. I agree with some critiques that this lacks some level of substance. It would be made 10x better if you could get perks/abilities outside cards like in other games of this genre. But it\'s very well optimized for mobile and it still satisfies that deck builder itch with no microtransactions.

Very fun rogue-like deck-builder game. I adore the artwork. The difficulty and character variations has me constantly switching up my strategies. I look forward to trying out the follow up game in the Meteorfall series and really hope the developers continue the series. The amount of content is worth the price, but I would definitely pay a bit more for a bit more content

I want to give this game five stars because it is charming and very well made the art is beautiful, the concept is simple but effective however... Their definitely feels like there is balancing issues I can\'t quite put my finger on it but after well over 20 run throughs of the game various characters and strategies something still feels off. Some enemies are just grossly skewed in their power level no matter what level you are or the general enemies are this is especially true with bosses.

If Slay the Spire and Tinder had a baby, it would look like Meteorfall. The addition of Daily Challenge mode really makes this game shine. Figure out each class, unlock their new cards, smash your way up each difficulty level, and then head on over to Daily Challenge and see what today\'s mutators are. There\'s a bit of a learning curve, but once that\'s done, this game is a great time. You know what else is great? Buying it once and having everything else unlocked by playing!

No microtransactions, all characters unlocked from the start, very different and distinguishable playstyles for the different characters (but you can still always play the way you want). This is my favorite mobile game since pixel dungeon. Wonderfully executed, and the developers clearly know a thing or two about how to make gamers happy. While I would like to be able to see my deck/discards and healthbar at all times, and hitting \"continue\" every turn feels unnecessary, it\'s still amazing!

As someone who plays slay the spire on PC, this game is exactly what I have been looking for to pass the time on mobile. Short or long play sessions. Can play with one hand. Charming art style and characters. Deceptively simple but enough depth to keep you coming back, the game is quite difficult as well. My morning coffee has become that much more enjoyable.

Loving the game, but I had to reformat my phone, came back after reinstalling and realized I lost 1000+ gems. That\'s why I gave this 4 stars. Please find a way to save all a person\'s progression including the gems. If this happens again, I don\'t think I will be willing to try to regain all that money. It took a long time to gain all that.

Looks great but, as deckbuilders go, I found the mechanics to be disappointingly shallow. Also, the balance is all over the place. I was hoping this would live up to the hype but it there isnt much past the window dressing.
