Description of NotifyBuddy - AMOLED Notification Light

Though this is tested on Oneplus 6T, it should be working for most Android Oreo and later phones.

So I was annoyed not having an LED notification light on OnePlus 6T and I tried to make one of my own.

With phones having AMOLED display whenever a desired notification comes the app brings in a black screen with notification LED looking animation.

To use it:

1. Disable Ambient Display and any battery optimisation for the app.

2. Give notification access permission.

3 Select apps you want notifications for, by choosing a color

Note: On successfully selecting a color for an app the text in which the App name is written should change to that color

Thats it😇.

For MIUI 11 devices make sure that AutoStart is enabled in App Info. Also check "Show on lock screen" permission in other settings.

Love the idea of this app, can\'t wait for updates and improvements. Would love to see multiple dots one for each different notification maybe across the top of the screen, as well as the dots continuing to flash until the text or email has actually been read after the phone is unlocked. Great start though guys keep up the good work!

This definitely did the trick. I remember a while back my friend asked me what color the light on his phone was blinking. I told him blue, he asked if I could hand it over - it was a text message. Ever since then I wanted to switch to Android. Neat things like that just don\'t happen with iPhones. Unfortunately, by the time I made the switch, full screen phones were in play. I got this and instantly got that same behavior, but at a 20% battery cost per day...

Bought the premium version initially because I appreciated having a notify LED again when using a Oneplus 7 Pro. It always worked perfectly. Now I have a Pixel 5 and while it does still work, it also annoyingly activates the proximity sensor LED. And yes, I have confirmed that the proximity sensor is being activated by this app. When I force stop this app, the proximity sensor LED disappears instantaneously. Will be pleased to reevaluate once the issue with the proximity sensor is resolved.

Doesn\'t work well with note 10 Plus, missed calls won\'t work. LEP position doesn\'t stay as set.

It\'s a good app... The the paid version is worth it... I just don\'t understand why there are two payment options to buy this app, i mean there is one simple pay version and one payment that says “support the developer” which is a bit higher i just don\'t know why??? I would\'ve given it a five star but the only proble that I have with the app is that it does not show notification led when the phone is charging and the charging notification led is ON and indicating the charge cycle!!!

Not working at all on my Galaxy S10/Android 10. The only thing showing at the notification bar is the app icon itself, all the time. I\'ve paid for the app, will uninstall, expect automatic refund. Edit: Uninstalled, reinstalled. The only sign of life is a very mini-micro-tiny (1 pixel?) led at the left side of the camera lens when I start charging my phone, but not at the position I\'ve configured it. NB: I\'m a long time satisfied user of another, really good, notify app. I\'m no stranger to the various settings and tweakings of the NotifyBuddy app.

3 EDITS: (1) I have a Oneplus 7 Pro, running Oxygen OS 10.0.1....I really like the app but after installing it, My \"OK Google\" or \"Hey Google\" voice command stopped working, I uninstalled the app it works, I reinstalled it, It stops working, So for now I have left it uninstalled, I hope you can identify the problem and fix it, please let me kno if you find a workaround, I\'ve emailed the developer but no response (2): After an O.S upgrade to Oxygen OS 10.0.10, it works great, No App conflicts. I even bought the Pro version .also I just changed my one star rating to 5, (3) Uses too much battery, phone charged to 100% can sit for 6 hours no notifications and lose only 2%, I get one notification the notify buddy light blinks for 30 min and loses 2 to 3% in that 30 min, so if i get ten notifications over the day and let it blink for the 30 min time i have set, thats 20-30% battery drain.. sorry now giving it 3 stars and uninstalling..

It works perfectly, but could you add a function? It\'s really simple, when you have more notifications, can you add an option to display them at once? So 3 different dots, like 10 pixels below eachother. It would be even better, dont think it would take more than 10 minutes to program:). Like instead of displaying them after eachother, every app notification could have its place on the screen. I can do it, if you publish the source😉

Excellent and necessary app for my usage. Highly recommend purchasing the premium version to support this developer. When the Start Delay is set from 0 to 7 seconds, the app works properly. However, if the Start Delay is 8 or greater there is no screen notification over the lock screen until I first wake the phone myself by tapping or lifting the screen. All settings check proper and battery not optimized. Write over granted. Thanks.

This is an excellent app and after a lot of searching definitely the best. Well worth purchasing. I have a Huawei phone which kills these sorts of apps but this one works perfectly. It\'s clean and well designed, easy to navigate and use. Love the different icons you can choose as well. The only thing that would make it better for me is if you could set up custom notifications for individual contacts.
