I think Pressreader is amazing. particularly as I get it free with my library card! My only complaint is that whenever i attempt the translation feature it crashes. So I have not been able to read publications in other languages. I love that I can peruse all the different newspapers including those from my home town, NYC. I wish it included the NYT though.

Excellent service, allows access to thousands of publications with the same interface. I found it very useful, especially because it can be used everywhere there is an internet connection. The possibility to buy only the desired issues of a magazine or newspaper also allows the flexibility of not being tied to a subscription.

the publication layout is static, you always have to zoom in/out and pan left /right . The reading mode is better for reading but hard to navigate and articles are often missing. Other issues : some pages remain whites, even when the publication has been fullly downloaded. zooming sometimes fail to rescale the fonts and text becomes blurry. Lastly, there are too many old publications that have not been updated for years. They should be removed.

I have become a regular user during the Covid-19 pandemic and would not now be without it. It is an excellent, near perfect, product. I use it on a cheap 10-inch Android tablet (Samsung Galaxy Tab A) on which it is a pleasure to read my chosen newspaper clearly and easily. The only glitch is that at odd times, a page\'s text does not sharpen up, being slightly fuzzy. The solution is normally to go into and then out of text view, but sometimes the app has to be restarted or tablet re-booted.

Probably one of the worst magazine subscription apps on the market. Slow to download, clunky interface and to add insult to injury, if you cancel the subscription mid month, you lose it instantly! The half of month you paid for already is neither refunded nor can you use your sub for the remainder of the paid duration. Avoid it like a plague.

This is a fantastic resource, giving access to an excellent range of UK and international publications. Very easy to use once installed. My only complaint is that it is quite clunky to install, but well worth the effort. Thanks also to Barnet Libraries for subscribing. I was subsequently prompted by the App to give a five star review. In this case it\'s absolutely justified *****!

This is a very worthwhile app with a few odd quirks. The range of publications that it covers is quite astounding. One of the quirks is that the favouriting system is not consistent. I can favourite The Guardian and this will show on my browse page. But even if I favourite The Washington Post it doesn\'t appear. I have to do a search to obtain each issue. The app frequently asks you to confirm your sign-in when you leave a publication, often when in the middle of trying to delete an issue.

Fairly easy to use, the main problem is when accessing content as part of a public library plan, the app is so focused on signing you up as an individual customer, it is confusing to get in as a library user. A separate sign in track would be great. The number of publications - available to me from throughout the world - is truly amazing.

I love this app and use it regularly (thanks to our local library system for the free issues through this app). However, I can\'t tell whether I have read a magazine/newspaper issue without opening it up. A similar app I used made it available to see easily without opening the issue. Also, since the latest update, it constantly says it is downloading issues. It never stops. Update: Pressreader staff, I have just submitted the info via your website at your request.

Excellent app. Doesn\'t need subscription. You can always use a hotspot or a service provided by your local library (for me it is National Library Board). I love to read Reader\'s Digest but do not have the subscription so this is the best free alternative to it (except for pirated magazines which I don\'t prefer). Moreover, you can also change the magazine to text view which is excellent due to the small font in magazines and newspapers.
