What a shame. This is app looks great and works well enough, but there\'s just nothing I can do about the ads so I\'m going to go with a worse looking app that does the same thing but has a pro version that let\'s me turn the ads off.

This sound meter is inaccurate. I downloaded it because I wanted to see what my working conditions were like. I tested inside the truck going down the highway with no music, and it said 74 decibels \"Busy Traffic.\" I tested it next to a 3 foot concrete saw cutting while operating, and it fluctuated between 78, and 82. Completely wrong trust me.

used to think this was the best decibelometer app out there now the latest update makes all the buttons such as the contrast button and reset button for example, unpressable. you have to touch it in a very particular place and even then probably 3 or 4 times before it registers your input. change that, and I\'ll bring my rating up to 5

Great easy to use and fairly accurate app(depending upon the microphone of the device you are using). The thing I love the most is that it does not irritate you wuth ads, instead it gives you an option to see an ad. I know the devs have to earn money somehow, so its a great feature. I always watch the ad when available.

This a very useful Sound Meter. It could be a great detector if the data could be logged in a spread sheet and tagged with date and time. I especially appreciated the writer\'s honest caution regarding microphone calibration. For my use that is a capability I don\'t need as I am interested only in a relative record. (I am not collecting evidence.)

This is the only sound monitoring app I use on any phone. Others seem like they \"adjust\" to the level of sound, and even if I add noise they\'ll stay around 40-50db. This is the only one that doesn\'t seem to do that, and it will show me the peaks which seem to be quite accurate. This will definitely help protect you from hearing damage. Plus, the UI is the best I\'ve seen; nice, basic, and easy to read quickly.

Great app!!! Serves my purpose very well. Simple & uncomplicated. A \"Zero Reset\" feature is badly needed (like TARE on a weighing scale). A help/guide would also be great to enable proper calibration.

An excellently designed and executed application for the intended use of measurung and recording ambient sound levels. It shows the numerical minimum, everage and maximum levels, accompanied by the easy to understand characterizations, like \"wisper.\" It even provides useful options of keeping the phone display lit and switching hands from left to right!

Intuitive app that allows user to customize to their preferences. Not cluttered with ads, in fact I don\'t remember seeing advertisements. Maybe I paid a small fee for app, if so, well worth it.

If there was only one thing I would change in this wonderful app, it would be to add a slight delay to the \'max\' recorded straight after pressing the reset button (maybe only 0.2secs), as the app will hear your finger tapping the screen even if you try really gently! This skews the max result massively.
