I\'m assuming at this time unless you\'re willing to give them a monthly or yearly subscription you no longer have access to the maps and the hosts. So what was once free is now being charged for. If I had known that I would not have bothered to even download the app.

There was a perfectly good free app that was forced offline. Instead, this paid app has been forced upon the WS community. It goes against the ethos of WS, which is all about hospitality, giving and non-commercialism.

Terrible! No functionality without paying for the annual or monthly subscription. This used to be a really great free service, but that is no longer the case. Even with their recent request to donate (which we did) they still went ahead and make you pay for this service.

Finally! Very excited about a WarmShowers app. Entirely reasonable pricing (just think how much a single motel costs) and so far, the app is great! Really looking forward to developments and additions.

I don\'t think charging for the app is a good way to recruit new users, also hosts shouldn\'t be charged for wanting to use the app and host. The fees aren\'t huge but I can\'t see how these things will help grow the community, especially in a year when touring numbers are going to be low. I hope hosts outside of the US are being charged no fee or a fee dependent on the country they are making a livelihood. Please don\'t kill this community which helps makes touring special.

There was a decent app already, now there a new one you have to pay for, and for new users there is even a registration fee. Seems like you want to go the same way as couchsurfing.

Have donated generously for the past 3 years as it was not mandatory. Why is it now a subscription service with registration and annual fees? I think of they do not change this back, then many people will start using BeWelcome instead.

Very decent app! For those who are unhappy about the new fee, you can still use warmshower services, just not through the app. But overall, this change was very needed, since the old and free app was very buggy, slow and frustrating to use.
